Issues
Our industrial customer specializes in plastic sheet metal work. It has a workshop in which certain equipment was generating high noise levels throughout the workshop. To reduce noise exposure for its employees, our customer wanted to carry out improvement work, without impacting on equipment accessibility.
Ecib solution
Tailor-made acoustic treatments were applied to reduce the impact of the equipment in the production area. To limit the propagation of sound, we installed acoustic noise barriers around the equipment, using our PEGAS' prima metal acoustic panels.
To limit the reverberation of sound waves on the building's ceiling, we also installed GRAVIT' aeris suspended acoustic baffles above the equipment.
Acoustic Optimization
The position and dimensions of the acoustic screens have been specifically defined to limit the propagation of sound waves from the equipment to the rest of the workshop. The networks of acoustic baffles above the equipment were also optimally positioned to ensure an effective acoustic hood effect above the noisy equipment. The performance of the solutions implemented was checked at the end of the works by an independent inspection office, enabling us to verify that noise exposure levels after the works complied with regulations.
