Issues
As part of a plant extension, an industrial site producing glass products required extensive ventilation to supply air to furnaces and regulate temperatures in work areas.
Located next to residential areas, the project management team set strict acoustic targets to ensure that the noise radiated by the ventilation openings would not impact the surrounding neighborhood.
Ecib solution
To meet acoustic objectives while guaranteeing the ventilation rates requested by the customer, we designed, manufactured and installed a complete acoustic ventilation system comprising :
- ALTAÏR' stratis baffle silencers at the air inlet, equipped with VIRG' aloa rain protection grilles and motorized dampers for airflow regulation
- Acoustic roof turrets consisting of a soundproof elbow, a motorized fan, an ALTAÏR' stratis baffle silencer and a rain cap.
Acoustic Optimization
Acoustic and aeraulic optimization was carried out by our design office.
To adapt to the project's specific design constraints, our 3D models were used to validate the interfaces with the project's other trades.
The baffle silencers and acoustic turrets were manufactured in our Liévin workshops, then installed by our assembly teams.
