Challenge
Our industrial client has a workshop equipped with 6 process fans. The noise level generated by this equipment resulted in noise exposure levels exceeding regulations for operators working in this area. Our client wanted to improve the working conditions for their employees while ensuring quick access to the equipment for monitoring and maintenance operations.
Écib Solution
We manufactured custom acoustic enclosures for the six fans in the production area. Our enclosures were constructed using PEGAS’ prima metal acoustic panels, which boast a sound reduction index (Rw) of 33 dB, allowing us to meet the acoustic compliance targets for the installations. The acoustic objective was successfully achieved with the implementation of our enclosures, and post-installation sound measurements confirmed this compliance.
Acoustic Optimization
Acoustic optimization is central to the design of our acoustic enclosures.
Our enclosures are designed by integrating our standard PEGAS’prima acoustic panels and adapting principles for hatches, doors, and ventilation, all specially sized for the project. During the design phase, we systematically incorporate the client's specific needs to ensure our enclosures do not hinder access to equipment or the ergonomics of workstations. Concurrently, we ensure that the specific features implemented in our enclosures allow us to guarantee the product's overall performance.
For this project, our client was experiencing noise pollution from their industrial fans. We designed a suitable enclosure, incorporating removable panels and a silent ventilation system.
