Challenge
The F Tower in Abidjan, designed by Ivorian architect Pierre Fakhoury, will soon rise to over 400 meters, making it the tallest tower on the African continent. This tower is intended to house administrative services, offices, and an auditorium, among other facilities.
To secure the tower's power supply, it will be equipped on its roof with three emergency generator sets, each with a power output of 3175 kVA. To limit the noise impact of these very loud pieces of equipment on the surrounding environment, Écib was called upon for its expertise in manufacturing acoustic enclosures.

Écib Solution
We manufactured three custom 40-foot acoustic enclosures for this project. The custom design incorporates not only the acoustic constraints but also the aerodynamic constraints of the project. To create these enclosures, we integrated our PEGAS’ prima acoustic panels for their high sound insulation and absorption performance. For the enclosure's ventilation system, we used our VIRG’ aloa rainproof grilles and our ALTAÏR’ prima acoustic baffles, designed to reduce noise propagation through the ventilation network.
Acoustic Optimization
For each project, our acoustic enclosures are optimized to guarantee the acoustic performance required by the specifications. Acoustic optimization allows for precise sizing of the acoustic solutions to be integrated (panels, silencers, grilles, etc.) to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment and acoustic performance compliant with current regulations.
